Share

Bijas are sacred sounds or syllables. The term "Bija" means "seed" in Sanskrit. And are considered to be the essence or root of other more complex mantras.
Each Bija is typically one syllable and is used in meditation, rituals, and in chanting; used to align oneself with certain aspects of divine energy, emanations, and the chakras- the energy centers in the body.
Each chakra is linked with a specific Bija - believed to resonate with and activate the energy of that chakra.

General Guidelines for Repeating a Mantra
-
Short Daily Practice
-
3–11 times: Ideal for quick focus, centering, or shifting mood.
-
Example: Repeat “I am enough” 11 times when starting your day or before meditation.
-
Traditional Spiritual Practice
-
108X: Why 108 times? It’s considered a sacred number representing the universe, spiritual completion, or connection to cosmic energy.
-
Often done with prayer beads (mala) — each bead counts one repetition.
-
Meditation or Extended Practice
-
15–30 minutes or more: You can repeat your mantra silently or aloud, letting it guide your breath and focus.
Tips for Sacred Practice
-
Consistency > Quantity: Daily repetition for a few minutes is more powerful than occasional long sessions.
-
Feel the vibration: Don’t just say the words — sense the energy behind them in your body.
-
Align with breath: One repetition per inhale/exhale can deepen focus.
-
Set intention first: Think of the purpose of the mantra (healing, protection, self-love, etc.) before starting.
Tips for Daily Ritual:
A simple approach could be:
-
3 repetitions to start a ritual
-
11 repetitions for daily self-love practice
